4G simple stands for the 4th generation of training, or as we like to use "learning experience".  The 4G learning experience allows the user (you) to have greater flexibility and control on how, what and when you learn.

Histroy of modern learning

Gen One - Learning on the job usually without a qualification, or learning a trade.
Gen Two - Scheduled classes, full time study load, class based, face to face, chalk and talk lecture style.
Gen Three - Class based or on the job structured training leading to  accredited training over a set period of time.
